- A. Your spiritual inheritance is not depression. It is having your heart flowing like a river in love.
- a. To have the affections of God touching your emotions.

- c. Adopt this as a promise that you can really experience in this life not just when you die.
- d. Your inheritance is to be able to “feel” the love and presence most of your life. Except for when He withdraws to test you.

II. How to come to Jesus in the Word

- a. What are the areas that the HS has put His finger on and I have said no to?
- B. Faith is being confident in the love of God.
- C. Devotion is not academic bible study.
- a. Academic bible study, it is good to search out things at the mind level to know what they mean, but you need to then turn it into a dialog with God that makes your heart fall in love with Him. Otherwise the academic study is good for nothing.
III. Journaling
- A. When you write – more comes. Journal as you read it. Here are two things to start journal with:
- a. Truths that exhort you to believe something.
- b. Truths that exhort you to obey something
- B. When you read one of these scriptures, pause for 5 seconds and talk to God about it.
- a. Then ask Him to give you more.
- b. Help me to do it.
